Despite this recognition, few sites have been located and reported. An archaeological survey and excavation of a proposed golf course in 1999 and 2000 indicated considerable prescence of Lamoka people in the Chippawa area above Niagara Falls. These sites and other recently recorded sites have important implications for the waterlevels of prehistoric Lake Wainfleet. These sites also give an indication of how southern Ontario occupations fits into the broader context of Lamoka phase lifeways.</style>
</record></records></xml>
