The following are some of the benefits that come with membership in the Canadian Archaeological Association:

  • receive the CAA Newsletter twice per year (spring and fall)
  • receive two annual issue of the Canadian Journal of Archaeology
  • receive logon privileges to the Members' Only Section of the CAA Web site
  • be eligible to deliver papers at the CAA annual conference
  • be updated on issues relevant to the Canadian archaeological community

Your Membership in the Canadian Archaeological Association is due on April 1*, of the new year. In order to receive your two issues of the CAA Newsletter, the Canadian Journal of Archaeology, and maintain your logon account for the Members Only Section of the CAA Web Site, you are encouraged to establish or renew your membership as soon as possible.

*$25 of this will be considered a donation and those members will be issued a receipt for the donation.

For security reasons, please do not send your credit card number via email.

*The CAA membership year begins on April 1 of each year. If you sign-up for a NEW membership BEFORE March 1, your membership end date will be March 31st of the current year. If you sign-up AFTER March 1, your membership will begin on April 1 of the current year, and will end March 31st of the following year.

Example 1: If John purchases a new membership Jan 1, 2011, his payment will be applied to the 2010/2011 membership year. His membership start date will be April 1, 2010, and the end date will be March 31, 2011.
Example 2: If Jane purchases a new membership March 1, 2011, her payment will be applied to the 2011/2012 membership year. Her membership start date will be April 1, 2011, and the end date will be March 31, 2012.

If you hold a CURRENT membership and you RENEW anytime before your current membership expires, your membership end date will be extended to the end of the next membership period. 

Example: Jack holds a CURRENT membership that ends March 31, 2011. If he RENEWS his membership in Jan 2011, his new membership end date will be March 31, 2012.
