Roger Marois undertook the translation and French adaptation of this archaeological milestone and has offered it to francophones and francophiles interested in the history and archaeology of the First Nations of Canada.

Published as the CAA's Occasional Paper No.3, Histoire des Autochtones du Canada, volume I, is only available electronically, over the Internet as PDF files. In this way, we expect this work to receive a heretofore unparalleled dissemination for any Canadian archaeological publication. At the same time, the informative texts are rich in a carefully researched French technical terminology and expressions which will enrich the vocabularies of students and others interested in the subject matter.
